Question Necromancer Weapons?

I'm quite new to this sort of fantasy gaming and I've searched the forums for a direct answer to my question. Are there weapons specific to a Necromancer?

I do realise that anybody could wield any weapon they want, but if the Warrior is better than the rest with axes, hammers and swords, what is the Necromancer better with?

Necromancers use Bone Staffs and some other staff I can't think of atm for 2h. And Cestas (death) and Truncheons (blood) for 1h. With off hand items like idols, icons and more cestas. It becomes clear later when things start dropping with requirements on them. Basically staffs and wands.

That's pure Necros.

Um, they start dropping in pre-sear off level 0 stuff.

They don't start showing up with necro specific skill requirements until like level 12+. But the actual items drop right from the start. Just use any wand and offhand item until you find the good ones.

ok now i have a question...you said cestas and truncheons are death or blood. Does that mean they improve only that class or that the bonuses work off your attr level..or both?

It means in order to get the full effect of the damage and energy added by them, you need to meet the item requirements, and later on those items require said skills. I don't think you actually gain any extra damage with them by raising the skills, I have a rare (orange) truncheon that has a listed damage of like 12-16, but I only hit "soft" targets for ~10-15 and armored targets for like 5, it requires blood and my blood attribute is 12.
